To become a CFA Charterholder, candidates must successfully complete all three levels of the CFA Program, complete the required qualifying work experience and become a member of CFA Institute.
To enrol in the CFA Program and register for the Level I examination, candidates must meet the CFA Institute's eligibility requirements. You can generally qualify through one of the following routes:
You have completed a bachelor's degree or an equivalent university degree.
You are currently completing an undergraduate degree and will be within 23 months of your graduation month when you sit for the Level I examination. For progression to Level II, undergraduate candidates must be within 11 months of their graduation month at the time of the Level II examination.
You have a combination of 4,000 hours of professional work experience and/or higher education, acquired over a minimum of three sequential years before registering for the Level I examination.
